Yeah, the moment you have all been waiting for :o) This is my crazy squirrel/cat Pele. I have never seen an animal that is more hyper. I seriously think he does flips off the walls when we aren't looking.

Goodbye Christmas

I hope you all had an awesome Christmas! I know I did :o) I got a digital camera and a kitten. ( And other various assortments of gifts from relatives, etc.) I think I'm about 200 pounds fatter now because all I ate yesterday was filled with sugar. I spent a chunk of the day videotaping my cat (affectionately name Pele[Pay-lay] after the soccer legend) do flips :o)
I'll upload those later when I have time.

My sister Christine is coming out to Boston Thursday! Along with my favorite nephews and the other guy....oh, yeah, Jonathon. Well until then I'm going to go watch a season of 24 on Dave's lap top (This is what Christmas vacation is all about, being lazy)

Christmas Time

Christmas. It really is the best time of year, but as it draws closer, many teens are confronted with extremely difficult decisions. "Do I want the sony digital camera with the 4.0 LCD or the LG Chocolate cell phone with Bluetooth Wireless Interface?" As you can imagine it is very stressful.
I have come up with the perfect solution mom.
You could just get me both :o)

As an abrupt ending to this unusually short post I will complete my entry with this poem from "Calvin and Hobbes"

On window panes, the icy frost

But in our house the christmas tree

The first week of school is now over. Only 175 days to go.
My dad and I are taking a train to New York today and we are going to visit the Reckers church. My mom just left for the airport and she is flying to Iowa for a family reunion. As the summer ends.....

Wow, what a summer!! I had my very last missions trip of the summer last week and it was incredible (like they always are) Our cola war was smaller than usual but everyone who stayed for the message got saved. Our soccer camp was, well, actually I don't know how the soccer camp went because I was out recruiting whenever we held it because there wasn't a huge number of kids and having all the teens on our missions trip there would have been overkill and maybe a little intimidating for the parents. It was a crazy missions trip though as far as the people who went on it go. We had dirt fights (lea lol) and so many awesome memories. Like New York we sang in the subways and Adam preached a quick message. There were a few people who stopped and listened. Ok, I'm really tired right now because I just got back from volleyball tryouts and I am pooped. I have three more practices and then Miss. Hall will post who made the team. Even if I don't make it, the tryouts have been tons of fun. Well, David leaves for Bob Jones Saturday so we are cooking out tonight, in other words my mom wants me to help work so I have to go.

Missionary meetings and me :o)

Right now I am in Chicago in my brother Billy's house. We just got back last night from Iowa where my Mom and Dad had missionary meetings. Lucky for me they had a teen program, so while my parents were enduring long monotonous meetings (jk) I was riding roller coasters, Shopping, touring the state capital (ok, that was wicked boring) or walking around a science museum. I must say though that the Iowa science museum compares to the Boston Science museum the same was an outhouse compares to the Empire state building. We are leaving tonight and will probobly get back tomorrow night. I am so sick of driving hee hee. I have next week off of any exciting activities but I have another missions trip in 2 weeks. Then in a short while school starts....ew.

New York and such....

Now that I finally have time to sit down at a computer to tell everyone what has been happening, I don't know where to start...I guess the beginning is a good place.
Two weeks ago I left with some teens from my youth group and traveled to Queens, New York. In Queens was a church in which we stayed during the week. The first thing we did was go to Stop & Shop, and it was there I got hit by the pitiful and painful reality. One of those "Toto, I don't think we are in Boston anymore" kind of realities. In Stop & Shop was a whole shelf full of Yankee paraphynalia (gag) Well, after I got over that shock I enjoyed traveling the New York subway system with my group, singing hymns in the tunnels, and watching the guys preach on the sidewalks. We handed out tracts and literature about the Reckers church in Manhattan. Almost every stranger I personally came in contact with swore at me ( well except for the gay dude who was actually quite nice) but others had better luck than me and got to lead some to Christ. After walking around in 100 degree weather, we would go out for an activity. One evening it was just Dunkin Donuts. Another night it was Ground Zero. One evening we went to the Empire State building, and from there we took a limo for $5 a person to Times Square!!! It was definately a highlight when Pastor Brian rolled down his window and shouted to passerbys "Oprah Winfrey is in here! Im rich and famous!"All in all the week was a total success even though we had a couple girls nearly faint from dehydration.
Then 1 day after I got back I left for North Carolina for camp! Yeah, I was kind of tired :o) Camp had way to many details to fit into here so instead I'll give my bestest memories:

Unexpected Surprise

I had an unexpected surprise last week. One of the missions trips Pastor Brian took teens on ended up needing a place to stay so the girls stayed at my house, and because they were staying at my house, I ended up being able to go on that missions trip! From Wednesday to Friday I helped pass out literature about the church down in Norwood, and on Saturday, we went to six flags!!!! If you look closely at the sleeping kid, you can see that Josh is drooling :o) The other one is a picture of my six flags group.

The obliteration of our front yard

For the last few days my family has been decimating our front yard (or as my friends insist, lack of one) We took out our sidewalk, the wooden barriers that held our yard in and the driveway. We're going to fill in the driveway and sidewalk with dirt and plant some grass to enlarge our lack of yard :o) Our cement stairs that lead to our door are going to be covered up with a wooden deck with stairs going down the side. Right now we are still in the destructive stage (muahaha) Less than a month until my missions trip to New York!!!

I love missions trips!

Hey long time no post, eh? I was going to wait until one of my friends sent me a picture so I could at least interest you in what I put in my blog, but since there seems to be a shortage of photography going on you will all have to live without...
So, updates....
Well, last week at my wonderful youth group, we found out what missions trips we will be going on! After 10 weeks of rigorous requirements and testing, our hard work bore fruit...some lemons and some oranges, but in my case, mostly oranges (mostly)
I found out that not only am I going to New York in July I am also going on Newton missions trip (well yeah, that was a given since it is my church but still...) in August! Those are my oranges. I won't go into the lemons (lol Hannah)
Right when I get back from New York I have to unpack, wash the clothes, pack up again and head for North Carolina! I love camp! So until the second week in July my life will be and has been most monotonous. Everything with escalate and I won't miss my boring summer days (where all you have to do is work) at all!

Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr Golden sun, Please don't burn me!

Ahh, summer vacation is awesome....specially when you get to spend it with friends! I doubt that you can tell in the picture but I have a wicked bad sunburn from going to Hampton Beach Monday...When I went to youth group on Wednesday everybody was like..."Wow,Linda you have a sunburn!"Observant aren't we? I went with Merry to her Grandparents house where we swam(swum?) in their pool. This picture was taken right after I wiped out on their deck lol... well until the next post, Tootles....

Summer days....

Last day of school was Friday and now we are officially out of imprisonment and are free...but not of humidity! My sister, Jonny and Isaac and I went to Sarah Shakour's wedding today and I had to spend the reception in the car with the AC blowing and radio on loud :o) Congrats by the way Sarah! Any way I know that I am enjoying summer vacation so far. Tomorrow my brother Dave and I are going to the graduation at Trinity and then we will probably attend a couple of graduation parties and then oh yeah, Monday we are going to the BEACH! YES!!!!! lol But even more exciting then that is this Wednesday we are going to find out what missions trips we are going to be going on!! Boston is always the best but it is fun to find out what other one I will be going on and more importantly, who is going on it with me! No more homework...

Yay! Last week of school!!!!!! Now even though I won't have to wake up at 6 o'clock anymore,and drive two hours a day to school, and listen to a teacher's monologue, and do homework I will miss my friends!! Living 60 miles away and not being able to see them until camp isn't easy.Lol
I hope you all feel bad for me (Jk)For those of you who don't know my class this is them all minus Emily Garrett Nick and a couple others.
First thing I'm going to do when school is out is go to the beach!!

Trinities 9th grade Spanish class went on a field trip to a Spanish restaurant named Margaritas (No they didn't have any) and I'm not sure why exactly Landon brought along Miss Lewis's garden gnome but whatever the reason
he managed to stuff the gnome's pants full of tortilla chips and being the weird kid that he is he properly placed the dip in a strategic place...
gotta love him lol Thank you, Landon for showing everyone that us Pastor kids aren't angels! Not that everyone who knows me needs convincing... hehe

Fishercat's game

Yeah, I'm ahead of schedule now on posting stuff so I can chill for a couple of weeks lol Just kidding....
Last Friday, my totally wicked youth group (for the older generations, thats a good thing) went to a Fishercat's game (baseball not hockey lol mom...) but the funny thing is no one knows who won the game because no one watched it. Everyone payed ten dollars for a hotdog, a soda and chips and socializing time for about 6 hours. Hehe I don't even remember what the color of their uniforms were....From left to right that is Garrett, Mitch and Brent (what is with your hand kid?)...The kid that looks possessed is Jacob and the other one is Landon...Amanda, Katie(lol) and Anna....And last but definately not least, Maddie getting her money's worth out of the disgusting remains of what they don't use in the pig. (If you didn't guess I don't like hotdogs)

What a boring week

Hey everyone! I had April vacation thursday and friday... psh only two days what a rip off! Well my birthday was Tuesday and I got contacts so I can see again... Ok so nothing exciting has happened but PLEASE don't fall asleep while reading this because then you will drool all over your keyboard and THATS unsanitary. Countdown: 13 days till David comes home! Yay.

Iowa Blaaaaaaaah

Hey everyone! Here we are in the Great (fly over) state of Iowa! yeehah....... Right now I'm in my Grandmother's house and I can hear my nephew Isaac crying because his mean ol' mom (Christine) has put him down for a nap. Ashlyn (the cutie in the picture) is here also. I am going to miss every single day of school this week (muahahaha) but I am coming back to Massachusetts on Friday. Mom and I will fly into Logan where we will get on a bus and ride back up to New Hampshire so I can go to my soccer games on saturday ( sorry EBC) then I will go to church at Trinity that Sunday. I feel so out of contact with the world when I don't have internet access... the little red house I am staying in may be near the school but it doesn't have cable or a computer in it so I'm out luck.
Well, I get to play on 2 indoor soccer teams now! U-16 AND u-14! yay.
My cat died.
